WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? Seriously?
For some reason this week we didn’t eat much bananas. Usually we would easily go through 10 or more. But today we were faced with 6 very sad looking bananas and I really did not want to throw them away. Dennis found this online recipe for Frozen Chocolate Banana Pops and we gave it a shot… It. Was. Amazing. Somebody has to stop me from eating just that for the rest of my pregnancy.

I know my picture is not too sexy, but trust me – appearances are deceiving.

And here is a super-duper-easy recipe:

Peel bananas, cut each crosswise in half. Inset a wooden stick into the cut end of each banana piece. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or in a plastic freezer bag and freeze till firm, 2 hours or overnight. In small microwavable bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Heat in microwave oven, on high 1½ minutes or till chocolate is melted when mixture is stirred. Using a knife, spread, mixture evenly over bananas, mixture will freeze immediately. Wrap in wax paper or plastic wrap and freeze till mixture is set, 15 to 20 minutes. Wrap well and store in freezer.
