Parenting 101

Do you think Leila will love music when she grows up? What if she hates dogs? I do want to get another dog eventually.

I don’t know. But I thought we agreed that we are not going to give her an option.

That’s right. We will force our dreams on our children, just like our parents did.

Yes! We will finally get to say “you will thank me later!”

We should wait until she asks us for a puppy and then give her the whole “Who is going to walk the dog in the morning, uh?! Who is going to feed it?! You?! I don’t think so! Over my dead body! I have enough crap to clean around here!..” and then get her one for Christmas!

That is exactly what we should do.

Hey – you sound wonderfully, normally mother-y to me! The first couple of months are indeed very strange – it is no coincidence you get 12 weeks on FMLA, it takes that long for your hormones to settle. The crying, the shrieking, the baby, the leaking body fluids – you are in for a ride. Soon you’ll be shouting, whatever you’re doing, stop it to a pack of kids! Nothing better in the whole world. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Geoff’s already trying to find a way to use Hayley as a reason to get a kitty since I’ve been saying no to him for years.
