…because… really…. who cares that my Christmas card order came in late, or that my red holiday envelopes look PINK or that I just ruined one of my cards by writing “Happy Easter!” (WTF?!) and now have to select one relative that is going to get a generic store-bought card… or that my beloved husband just informed me that he hates the picture of Leila I have chosen for our cards, because “her head looks funny… and kinda big… and the whole angle is not right” and “I think you should have used a hat…” AFTERÂ I have hand-written holiday wishes on the cards featuring the giant-head-baby and have personally licked and sealed all of my perfectly PINK holiday envelopes… AFTER all of THAT he tells me he doesn’t like it. What? You want to know where was he with his brilliant ideas and attention for detail when I was making the actual card? I will tell him you’ve asked.
In other news…with complete disregard to my holiday card trauma Leila has turned 9 months. Just like that. No asking, no warning, no checking in with me first. BAM! 9 months. The last month has been hands down the best month yet. Every household should have an 8 month old! I get to spend my days with this chubby, bold, bouncing ball of pure happiness and life just doesn’t get any better than this.
just shoot dennis. will make things much easier. i could not love leila more. sincerely. and oh, i’ll take the card that says happy easter. let’s change things up a bit eh?

I have to send you a card, when and if I can get them out. You should expect my holiday card slightly before the 4th of July. Damn things are haunting me from the corner of the room. I should be working on them now. I should go.
4th of July is perfect. Also, just email me the card that way I wont feel guilty about emailing mine to you. Or better yet, bring it over the next time we meet.

Oh my goodness! I know I sound like a broken record but can she seriously get any cuter? Loved her knee walking. That was amazing! And oh her delightful squeals! Just a doll.
