Before we had any kids we bought this very high pub style dinning table… and for Liam’s safety his “floor time” activities have been moved to the table…

… Leila has never shown any interest in the table or the chairs

until this morning…

sorry, Liam…

She will just look at you. Right, Leila?

P.S. my mom has been in charge of dressing Leila and I personally find this very entertaining.

Such cute pics! In the last one, she looks like she really wants to squirt whatever’s in that tube at him, haha! I’m glad to hear Leila’s adjusting to having a little brother is getting better, but it is funny to hear the stories! And thanks for the tips on what to do before a new baby arrives, I’ll have to look that up I need it.

Hope you’re feeling better too, we miss you & Leila at the playdates!

Ha! I love it. Leila’s a heckuva climber!

  3. I love your mom’s sense of style. Leila looks somehow Swedish. I’m not sure why. She is too clever! Of course NOW she wants to explore higher surfaces!

Darn Gymboree for teaching Leila to climb!!

  5. Mailis says:

Uh oh. Liam had better develop the patented newborn drop kick (or was that just MY kid?) in order to survive with his big (and adorably dressed) sister in the house.

Absolutely not surprised at Leila. This is so like Leila – getting what she wants by any means. And your mom has always been quite a designer ;-)

Ok, that is just plain hysterical! We only have one little girl and I’m terrified she’d torture any baby that moved into this house.

She is too cute, the devious sparkle in her eye is unmistakable.
Is it not the middle of August where you are?

I agree with a previous poster: Leila looks Swedish in that outfit. She looks like she is just about to head out for a leisurely cross-country skiing outing.

And yes, as with a previous poster: isn’t it the middle of August? And don’t you live in California?

Love the photos. This is exactly how my MIL dresses all our kids. At the cottage (in the heat of August) my MIL had Molly bundled up in a toasty knitted snowsuit. No joke.

I had friends over who had a five week old infant who they calmly plopped on my table to do a diaper change – to which I wanted to say – OMG! Is she okay on that table!? and of course I forget how NON-mobile they are at that age. And here in your shots is another reminder, that’s pretty neat. The other one, the winter-ready one, she’s pretty mobile. And so damn cute.

Leila does looks Swedish. I feel like she should be toting a cow bell or perhaps a jug of milk. Or perhaps spinning in a field of flowers a-la sound of music. Wait, that wasn’t Sweden. Or was it?

Anyway, is it me or is there a hint of deviousness in those eyes. It looks like she has something planned…

  12. It is the middle of August and we do live in CA, but it’s been unusually cold, especially in the mornings… maybe not you-need-a-winter-sweater kind of cold, but still…
