Round Two

Oh colic… it’s as if you’ve never left.

Gripe water, jumping on the exercise ball, going up and down the stairs, massage, swaddle, repeat… and if the baby starts crying do the same for him.

    Oh no, I’m so sorry.

On the bright side, I love the new banner. Liam really does have an impressive head of hair.

Oh goodness, Jonah did the same thing. Just about the time I thought I was going to lose my mind, he got better. Hang in there, mama!

These kids are trying your patience, huh? You’ve got the secret weapons though! Do you know about One Step Ahead? They sell all kinds of stuff for kids and babies. They have this item that’s supposedly help with colic. If you need help with finding it, let me know. I don’t know how much it helps but if I were in your shoes and at my wits’ end, I’d try it! I actually have this vibrating thing too, which could be what this colic thing may be, and could help. If you wanna give it a try, let me know! I’ll bring it by!

  4. I hate colic. I’m sorry!!!

Oh no! Don’t hate me but I have no idea what a colicy baby is like, no experience with it at all. Want to trade for a little while? I always wanted to know what it was like to have a boy :)

You need a live in nanny and a spa trip stat. Also? Take me with you.

aww… that is no fun. It will pass. I had crying issues, who knows if it was colic per se or even what colic is, but we tried a bunch of things to no avail… and then it was over. In the meantime, have a cocktail between feedings ;-)

The yoga ball that was supposed to be for my lovely natural birth ended up being the bane of my existence. It was the ONLY thing that lulled Alexa to sleep save for my boob. After she got over that issue months and months later, I hid it in my room. I just now, well last week, brought it back downstairs to use it for it’s real (exercise) purpose.

Gripe Water was SUCH a lifesaver. Hang in there- it’s not forever, eventhough it feels like it

I was just reading what some other moms were saying about gas in their babies and I forgot about moms not eating certain things to help. You may have already heard this from the lactation consultants but just in case you didn’t, you may want to cut out your dairy and try probiotics. Also this ‘birth’ personnel in the south bay recommended – http://herblore.com/service/index.php?pg=article_colic if the gripe water isn’t helping or you want to try something natural.

    Good luck!!!
